Park City Mountain Resort Legacy Fund

The goal of the Park City Mountain Resort Legacy Fund is to support Summit County through grants to nonprofit organizations that provide our community with effective programs in the areas of Environmental Stewardship, Children and Athletics, Education, and/or provide social services and humanitarian aid to help people in need.

There are two programs - Benefit Days and an Annual Grant Program.

Benefit Days

Benefit Day is an annual program that provides a one-time, high impact grant to a local organization, usually $50,000.  It is an opportunity to invest in something outside of your organization’s normal budget cycle.

To fund the program Park City Mountain Resort sells 3,000 ski passes, good from opening day through mid-December for about $25. The proceeds from the sale of 2,000 tickets are granted to that year’s Benefit Partner. The proceeds from the sale of 1,000 tickets funds the Park City Mountain Resort Legacy Fund and are granted out in an annual process, held each Spring.

Benefit Day partners are expected to provide volunteer and marketing support to help manage and encourage ticket sales.  Benefit Day partners will not be eligible for our spring grant cycle in the year they receive the Benefit grant and for two years afterwards.
